Job summary
Leidos, based in Reston, Virginia, seeks a Software Engineer II to support DOJ/OJP OCIO. The role focuses on improving, testing, and supporting secure, accessible digital products and services with modern DevSecOps practices.
You will work under senior engineers to enhance software, reduce debt, expand automated testing, and integrate APIs, data services, and DIAMD-related systems in a fast-paced agile environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible software engineering or development experience.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Experience with Agile development and iterative planning or Kanban.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, debug, and maintain software components for DOJ/OJP digital products.
- Improve existing applications, fix defects, reduce technical debt, and strengthen tests.
- Translate user stories and technical requirements into working software using Agile practices.
- Create and maintain automated tests for unit, integration, regression, and APIs.
- Participate in Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support APIs, data services, and cloud/DevSecOps deployment activities.
