Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to design, development, integration, and sustainment of applications, APIs, and DevSecOps capabilities supporting DOJ/OJP/ OCIO. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
• Experience building enterprise or web apps across layers.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and maintain software components supporting OJP digital products, APIs, and internal platforms.
• Revise existing software to reduce defects and technical debt.
• Translate user stories and requirements into working software using Agile practices.
• Create automated tests to improve release quality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, repos, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain APIs and web services using REST, JSON, XML, SOAP.
• Support API integrations with identity management systems (DIAMD, Okta, SailPoint).
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant capabilities.
