Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer IV to support the DOJ OJP OCIO in modernizing, integrating, and sustaining mission-critical digital products. You will design and implement complex applications, APIs, integrations, automation, and cloud capabilities.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps, CI/CD, secure software practices, and collaboration with government stakeholders. You will guide senior engineers and contribute to secure, scalable solutions across enterprise components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
• Six+ years of progressive software engineering experience on enterprise applications.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations, and automated tests.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, configuration management, and secure software practices.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD platforms.
• Experience developing or supporting RESTful APIs, web services, data integrations, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or containerized applications and automated deployments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders and teams.
• Citizenship, residency and background requirements for government work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain complex enterprise components and APIs.
• Revise software to improve functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
• Lead technical analysis of enhancement requests, defects and integration requirements.
• Design, implement, publish, and maintain APIs and data integrations using approved technologies.
• Configure and support API management capabilities and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop integrations with identity management systems (Okta/SailPoint) and protocols (SCIM, OAuth 2.0, SAML).
• Develop, improve, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment processes.
• Support current and future state product implementations and required documentation.
• Coordinate with security and network teams on patches and vulnerability remediation.
• Mentor engineers in secure, maintainable development practices.
