Job summary

South Dakota State University (SDSU) invites applications for a Software Contracts Coordinator in Brookings, SD. This 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position reports to the Director of Technology Contracts and supports coordinating software requests and renewals for the university.

The role emphasizes vendor relationships, inventory maintenance, and collaboration with Information Security, General Counsel, HR Accessibility, Finance, and other units to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field by start date.
• 3+ years of related experience in contracts, procurement, or software licensing.
• Experience with vendor management and contract coordination.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-technical customers.
• Ability to work across departments and manage complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new software requests and manage software renewals.
• Maintain accurate software inventory and monitor renewals.
• Route contracts through electronic signature systems and coordinate with vendors and campus stakeholders.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and departments across the university to ensure compliance with policies.
