Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Soft Line Merchandising Specialist at our Katy store. You will sort soft line donations, price clothing, hang items by department, and ensure readiness for the sales floor.

The role requires ability to work quickly, follow GWH guidelines, greet customers, assist with donations, and support floor recovery and cleaning. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred; reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sort soft goods (clothing, linens, etc.) according to GWH guidelines to maximize production.
• Price merchandise by using the current GWH baseline pricing guidelines.
• Greet customers and assist with basic questions about store operations and merchandise.
• Assist with keeping production supplies available.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise as needed.
• Receive and record donations as needed.
• Assist with sorting donations according to GWH guidelines as assigned.
• Assist with the security and safety of GWH associates and property.
• Assist in floor recovery as needed.
• Perform necessary janitorial work.
