Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Health is seeking Social Services Analyst 1–3 to interpret complex regulations, guide clients through program requirements, and document outcomes. You will interview clients, assess work history, education, abilities, and goals while coordinating services and developing solutions that support program participation.

Positions are regional, with Region 7 coverage (Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Webster).

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in social services or a bachelor's degree as an alternative.
• Experience substitution allows earned credits to count toward six years of experience.
• Position requires knowledge of federal/state regulations and policy interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and ongoing eligibility for Economic Services programs by gathering, analyzing, and documenting client information.
• Explain program rules and procedures, make referrals, and deliver services respectfully and without bias.
• Manage assigned caseloads with accurate documentation and timely case development.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical assistance to new and lower-level staff.
• Assist supervisor in evaluating program processes and rebalancing caseloads as needed.
• Review statistical samples for quality control and ensure compliance with rules and policies.
• Conduct policy training, represent the agency in appeals and community forums.
