Job summary

Louisiana Department of Health seeks a Social Service Analyst to interpret complex regulations, guide clients through program rules, and document outcomes. You will interview clients, assess needs, and coordinate services to promote positive, real-world results.

Ideal candidates will have policy knowledge, strong problem solving, and a passion for community service in a state health environment. Role includes mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in social services; OR six years of full-time experience; OR a bachelor's degree.
• Experience substitution: 30 semester hours equals one year; max substitution 120 hours (4 years).

Responsibilities

• Determine Eligibility for Economic Stability Programs by gathering, analyzing, and documenting client information and applying laws.
• Provide Quality Customer Service and Program Guidance with referrals and unbiased services.
• Manage and Document Caseloads through forms, findings, and correspondence.
• Serve as Lead Analyst and Mentor to new and lower-level staff.
• Support Supervisory and Operational Functions including reports and caseload balancing.
• Ensure Quality Control and Compliance by reviewing samples and procedures.
• Provide Training, Representation, and Community Engagement to staff and partners.
