Job summary

Louisiana Department of Health is seeking a Social Service Analyst 1–3 to interpret complex regulations and guide clients through program requirements. You will conduct in-depth client interviews, document findings, and coordinate services to support successful participation.

Ideal candidates will have 3 years in social services (or 6 years in any field) or a bachelor’s degree, with substitutions based on college credits. Regional placement in Region 3: St. John/ Terrebonne.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in social services; OR
• Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
• A bachelor's degree.
• Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Determine Eligibility for Economic Stability Programs by gathering, analyzing, and documenting client information; interpret and apply complex laws and agency policies.
• Provide Quality Customer Service and Program Guidance; explain rules, make referrals, deliver services respectfully and without bias.
• Manage and Document Caseloads and Case Activity; complete forms, record findings, monitor development for accuracy and timeliness.
