Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced SoC DFX Engineer to define, design, and verify robust DFT/DFD solutions for complex high‑performance SoCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DFT/DFD architecture, design, and verification.
• Experience with JTAG, LBIST, MBIST, Scan, and ATPG.
• Familiarity with Tessent tools suite (Scan/ATPG).
• Experience with test pattern generation, bringup, and debug on ATE.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, hardware, firmware, and software teams to understand new DFX features.
• Design and integrate DFX logic in complex SoCs.
• Build test plan documentation considering interactions with features, hardware, firmware and software drivers.
• Estimate time to write new feature tests and required test environment changes.
• Build directed and random verification tests.
• Debug test failures and work with RTL/firmware to resolve defects.
• Review functional and code coverage metrics and adjust tests as needed.
