Job summary

Slalom seeks a data engineer for its Snowflake CoE in the Boston area. You will design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies, building scalable pipelines and data models in collaboration with agile teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong SQL and Python, experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, and familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster; proficiency in Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience including Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience with batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
