Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake-focused data engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies. You will build pipelines, data models, and collaborate within Agile delivery teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The role emphasizes Python development, SQL mastery, and experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, as well as data visualization with Power BI or Tableau. SnowPro Core Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, including hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern data transformation/orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster).
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
