Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions within our Snowflake Center of Excellence. You will build scalable data models, pipelines, and transformations, collaborating with Agile teams to deliver client data platform solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and data modeling skills, and experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, dbt, Airflow or Dagster, and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Proficient in Python or another OO programming language.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern data transformation/orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster).
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong client-facing consulting skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for clients.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
