Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake-focused Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions within our Snowflake Center of Excellence. You will build robust data pipelines, models, and transformations, working with SQL, Python, and modern data tools in an Agile delivery framework.

You will collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, support data quality and performance tuning, and contribute to continuous learning within

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience building batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or another OO language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data transformation/orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster).
• Experience with analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
