Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies. You will build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable models within Agile delivery teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and data modeling, Python experience, and familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster, plus Power BI or Tableau for analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, including hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern data transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
