Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake Engineer, Consultant, to design and optimize data solutions on Snowflake within our Snowflake CoE. You will build data pipelines, model data, and collaborate with Agile teams to deliver client-ready data platform solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and hands-on Snowflake development, plus cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and BI tool familiarity (Power BI/Tableau).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, including hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern data transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
