Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies. You will build and maintain data pipelines, collaborate with clients, and translate business requirements into scalable data models.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and data modeling, and proficiency with Python and cloud platforms. Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster and Power BI/Tableau is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience
• Experience building batch and/or streaming data pipelines
• Python or another OO language experience
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster
• Experience with analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Strong client-facing consulting skills
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud tech.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and scalable models.
• Work in Agile teams to deliver client data platform solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern tools.
• Support data quality, performance, and platform optimization.
• Collaborate with the Snowflake CoE and knowledge sharing.
