Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Qualifying full-time professional eligibility determination experience and/or a combination of para-professional experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of full-time para-professional experience as an Eligibility Assistant or similar state contractor role may substitute for the required education.
• Complete a criminal history disclosure form and release records; fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learns to manage a workload of initial and on-going eligibility determinations for SNAP and TANF according to Federal and State requirements.
• Learns to provide case management for initial and ongoing eligibility and customer changes.
• Learns to calculate monthly income and expenses for budgeting and document verifications in the case record.
• Learns to review data from customers and electronic systems to ensure entitlement of benefits.
• Learns to assist customers with the application process and scheduling.
