South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks an Eligibility Case Manager to support Economic Services, specifically SNAP and TANF programs, across the state. The role includes handling applications, renewals, and interim contacts, with a focus on eligibility determinations and timely benefits administration.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least three years in Economic Services; a Bachelor’s degree can substitute for experience.

Formación

• High School Diploma required; minimum 3 years of experience in Economic Services Programs.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher may substitute for required program experience.
• Valid driver's license required; travel within the state for training and meetings, including overnight stays.

Responsabilidades

• Performs SNAP and TANF program administration for Economic Services to help restore or improve customer financial stability.
• Conducts SNAP and TANF quality interviews (phone and face-to-face) for applications and renewals.
• Processes SNAP and TANF applications and renewals, ESAP interim contacts, and annual recertifications; updates eligibility and authorizes benefits as applicable.
• Manages ABAWD caseload by sending notices, updating tracking, and determining SNAP eligibility; interprets programs for clients.
• Processes system-generated alerts for county of residence and caseload.
• Maintains case records in agency systems; documents work participation activities; enters events in SCOSA; prepares supervisor reports.
• Identifies and documents overpayments; makes referrals to the Benefit Integrity Unit; supports fair hearings.
• Performs Red Cross shelter duties or other emergency shelter services as directed.
• Protects PII; safeguards agency networks and data.
• Performs other related duties as required.
