Job summary

NEOTech is seeking an SMT technician to set up and operate the surface-mount technology line, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and the reflow oven. You will ensure proper part identification, program initiation, stencil selection, and adherence to ESD and IPC-A-610 standards.

The role requires heavy attention to process sheets, MSDS and MSL guidelines, along with performing routine maintenance and supporting ISO quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity).
• Pass IPC-DVE-64C Component Identification.
• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 4, 7 & 8.
• Microsoft Office/computer skills.
• Working knowledge of equipment used in SMT operations.
• Must be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up SMT line equipment including screen printer, pick-and-place machines, and the reflow oven.
• Load feeders for surface mount machines using the load list provided by machine; verify part numbers.
• Initiate and select correct programs for SMT equipment and correct reflow profile.
• Select the proper stencil screen for use during screen printing operation.
• Comply with ESD, IPC-A-610, and ISO procedures and policies and 6S objectives.
• Perform machine preventative maintenance on screen printer and pick-and-place machines.
• Clean boards as required per soldering chemistry and monitor equipment performance.
