Job summary

Hanwha Semitech Americas is seeking an SMT Field Service Engineer to install, service, and troubleshoot SMT equipment at customer sites across the United States. The role requires travel to customer sites and hands-on problem solving with a focus on equipment uptime.

You will work with cutting-edge automation, perform preventive maintenance, communicate clearly with customers, and complete service reports. Strong electrical/mechanical skills and knowledge of Windows-based software and TCP/IP

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Field Service experience supporting SMT, industrial automation, semiconductor, or other complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based industrial software, TCP/IP networking, and PC troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service SMT equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Provide technical support and basic operator training.
• Support basic PC, Windows OS, network, and database-related troubleshooting for equipment operation.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory (approximately 70–80%).
