Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA seeks a Field SMT Field Service Engineer to join our team in Marietta, GA. You will provide field service across the Southeastern territory, assisting with installation, maintenance, and repairs of SMT equipment at customer sites in the U.S. and internationally.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Systems, or related field preferred; 5 years SMT experience may offset education.
• 3+ years SMT experience, including hands-on with programming and operating pick-and-place equipment.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to travel 60%-80%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone, email, and onsite support to YMUS Robotics distributors and direct customers to resolve equipment, application, and sales-related issues.
• Directly support customers with installation, warranty service, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Communicate with factory engineering to improve products and resolve recurring issues.
• Communicate with Sales staff regarding opportunities at existing customer sites.
• Document technical issues clearly for engineering and support teams.
• Track customer issues to ensure satisfactory resolution and aid training material development.
• Become Subject Matter Expert for internal and external customers.
• Provide support for customer demonstrations and manage demonstration equipment.
• Set up and remove equipment from demonstration facility.
