Job summary

SRCTec, LLC is seeking an SMT Associate Electronics Hardware Technician (1st Shift) to support our fast-paced SMT production and rework operations in Syracuse, NY. The role emphasizes hands-on PCB assembly, soldering, and adherence to IPC Class 2/3 standards.

You will perform PCA assembly, SMT rework, and blueprints interpretation, while maintaining safety and quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment. High school diploma and 5+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of PCB assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with PCB assembly, SMT rework, and soldering.
• IPC Class 2/3 soldering experience; J-STD-001 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for PCA production, SMT assembly, and SMT rework tasks.
• Perform hand soldering and machine soldering for SMT and PCA rework.
• Complete manual soldering and PCB assembly with high accuracy.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and detailed assembly instructions.
• Use computer systems to access production work instructions and procedures.
• Support front-end SMT tasks including component ordering, setup, de-kitting/teardown, and X-ray verification.
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and multitask in a fast-paced SMT environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
