Job summary

SRCTec, LLC is hiring a SMT Associate Electronics Hardware Technician (1st Shift) to support our SMT production and SMT rework operations. The role emphasizes PCA assembly, hand soldering, and IPC Class 2/3 standards in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of PCB assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions. On-site Syracuse, NY position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PCB assembly experience.
• Hands-on SMT and PCA rework experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics and assembly instructions.
• IPC Class 2/3 soldering experience.
• Current J-STD-001 certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for PCA production, SMT assembly, and SMT rework tasks
• Perform hand soldering and machine soldering for SMT secondary operations and PCA rework
• Complete manual soldering and PCB assembly operations with high accuracy
• Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and detailed assembly instructions
• Use computer systems to access, interpret, and follow production work instructions and procedures
• Support front-end SMT tasks including component ordering, trolley setup, de-kitting/teardown, and component X-ray verification
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and multitask in a fast-paced SMT production environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
