Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor designated streets, lots, and campus areas, ensuring compliance with parking policies while delivering excellent customer service.

You will issue citations, assist with maintenance of meters and pay stations, and support event parking and permit sales. The role requires independent judgment, safety awareness, and strong communication skills in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of parking regulations and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to use handheld devices for tickets and data entry.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate a vehicle or bicycle for patrols.
• Geographic awareness of enforcement area.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Capability to exercise sound independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets, lots, garages, and campus areas to enforce parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and policies.
• Issue citations and manage impounds or booting as directed.
• Work independently, using tact and diplomacy with the public.
• Assist maintenance with parking equipment and facility upkeep.
• Support event staff with parking for events and permit sales during peak seasons.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Note: Enforcement Officers are not sworn police officers and have no arresting authority.
