Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, seeks a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets and facilities, issue citations, and assist with parking equipment. The role requires independence, sound judgment, and strong customer service skills to manage parking policy compliance across locations.

You will interact with the public, coordinate with event staff, and perform related duties such as permit sales support while working outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the geography of the enforcement area.
• Understanding of safety precautions and hazards in parking environments.
• Ability to use a handheld computer for citations and data entry.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets, lots, garages, and campuses to ensure parking policy compliance.
• Provide customer service and answer questions about directions, events, and policies.
• Issue citations and warnings; impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work independently with sound judgment and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep.
• Assist in handling revenue from meters and pay-on-foot systems.
• Support event parking operations and permit sales during peak times.
• Other related duties as assigned.
