Job summary

ADT, the #1 smart home security provider in the U.S., is hiring a Field Technician to install low-voltage wiring and mount devices per site plans, and perform site assessments to verify connections to monitoring centers.

You will troubleshoot technical issues, educate customers on system features and basic troubleshooting, and maintain a safe, clean workspace while delivering reliable service for homes and businesses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-first communication style.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low‑voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections including monitoring center communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols
