Job summary

ADT is seeking a Field Technician to install, test, and configure our low-voltage security systems in customer homes and small businesses. You’ll help deliver reliable, high-quality service while building trust through clear communication and workmanship.

You’ll work evenings or weekends as needed, maintain a safe workspace, and educate customers on system features and basic troubleshooting. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (location may require additional licensing).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first communication style.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
