Job summary

Siemens in Raleigh, NC offers a Smart Building Systems Specialist Intern position. You will spend most of your time on job sites with technicians, learning to install, program and service HVAC automation in commercial buildings.

There are opportunities to learn sales exposure and project operations during a 10-week program. You will rotate through service and project teams, discuss system drawings, and gain hands-on experience with tools and technologies while documenting activities for

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or state-recognized GED.
Education: Students currently enrolled in or who have recently completed a 2-year Technical College/School pursuing a degree in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Mechanical Engineering / Technology, Electrical Engineering / Technology, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment or related program.

Responsibilities

Spend 40 hours/week for the 10-week program (May–July or June–August).
Work on job sites with technicians to learn installation, programming, and servicing of HVAC automation systems in commercial buildings.
Shadow sales and project teams to understand how solutions are designed and delivered.
Assist in diagnosing issues, performing maintenance and upgrades, and supporting new installations and system commissioning.
Document service activities and communicate with customers and team members.
