Job summary

Siemens invites applications for Smart Building Systems Specialist Internship, based in the Springfield, OR area. This role focuses on hands-on experience in HVAC automation, building controls, and field service alongside seasoned technicians.

You will learn to install, program, and troubleshoot building automation systems, while collaborating with engineering, project management, and sales teams to deliver safe, energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a 2-year HVAC/building automation or related program.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for a 10-week program.
• Onsite work with no relocation or housing stipend.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.
• Comfortable with field environments and hands-on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of time on job sites with experienced technicians learning HVAC automation.
• Assist in installing, programming, and servicing building control systems.
• Shadow sales/engineering teams to understand customer needs and solutions.
• Document service activities and communicate issues and resolutions to customers and team.
