Job summary

Siemens is seeking Smart Building Systems Specialist Interns for the Fremont, CA area. You will spend most of your time on job sites with experienced technicians, learning installation, programming and service of advanced HVAC automation in commercial buildings.

The program includes on‑the‑job training, shadowing, troubleshooting and classroom instruction, plus exposure to sales and project operations. Candidates should be enrolled in HVAC/building automation studies and be legally authorized to

Qualifications

Enrollment or recent completion in HVAC Controls, Building Automation or related field.
Strong familiarity with building automation concepts and HVAC systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software platforms.

Responsibilities

Spend 80% on job sites with Siemens technicians, learning installation, programming and service of HVAC automation in commercial buildings.
Gain 10% Sales exposure by interfacing with customers and understanding solution design.
Rotate through service and project operations to support installation, maintenance and upgrades.
Visit customer sites to troubleshoot HVAC and Building Automation systems; assist with diagnostics and repairs.
Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies and address challenges.
Document service activities for customers and provide basic system training and potential upgrades.
