Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking Smart Building Systems Specialist Interns for Canton, MA. You will work alongside technicians on HVAC automation, learn installation, programming, and service in commercial environments, with some exposure to sales and project operations.

This is a fixed-term, on-site internship starting May–August with 40 hours per week. You should be pursuing a 2‑year technical program in HVAC/building automation and be legally eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC/building automation or related field.
• Able to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Willing to work onsite in Canton, MA and surrounding area. No relocation stipend.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~80% on field tasks with experienced technicians, learning HVAC automation installation, programming, and service in commercial buildings.
• Gain exposure to sales and customer engagement while observing building performance improvements.
• Rotate through service and project teams to understand installation to maintenance processes.
• Assist technicians on customer sites, diagnose issues, and support new installations and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies and address on-site challenges.
• Document service activities clearly and communicate system operations to customers and team.
