Job summary

Siemens is offering a Smart Building Internship Program in Garfield Heights, OH, to become a Building Automation Systems Specialist Intern. You will work on HVAC automation, building systems, and on-site troubleshooting with experienced technicians.

The program runs for 10 weeks with a mix of field work, sales exposure, and project/operations rotations. Candidates must be enrolled in a technical program and be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled or recent graduate pursuing HVAC/building automation or related degree.
• Able to work 40 hours per week for a 10-week program (May–July or June–August).
• Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship; visa not supported.
• Willing to work onsite at Garfield Heights, OH and surrounding area.
• Physically able to perform on-site work in varied environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with Windows laptops and field tech tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• 80% Field Technician Experience: on-site installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation systems with training.
• 10% Sales exposure: learn customer engagement and solution design for building performance.
• 10% Project & Service Operations: rotate with service and project teams.
• Visit customer sites to troubleshoot HVAC, Building Automation, and electronic control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Document service activities and provide basic training to customers.
