Job summary

Siemens Smart Building Internship Program in Morristown, NJ, seeks Smart Building Specialist Interns for hands-on HVAC automation experience with NY Metro area coverage. You will join a 10-week program starting June 2027, dedicating most time to field technician work and rotating into sales exposure and project operations.

A strong foundation in HVAC/building automation is expected. You’ll gain practical skills on job sites, interact with customers, and learn how Siemens designs energy-efficient

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or state-recognized GED.
• Education: Students currently enrolled in or recently completing a 2-year Technical College pursuing a degree in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Mechanical Engineering/ Technology, Electrical Engineering/ Technology, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment or related program.
• Availability: Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May-July or June-August).
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. No Visa support for this program.

Responsibilities

• Spend 80% of time on job sites with experienced technicians, learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation systems.
• Rotate through service and project operations to understand installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, and supporting new installations and system commissioning.
• Document service activities and communicate system operations clearly with customers and team members.
