Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to help small businesses find the right coverage through consultative sales and tailored insurance solutions. You’ll prospect new opportunities, build client and referral relationships, and work with multiple carriers to deliver quality coverage and service.

The role targets small commercial accounts with a base salary plus bonuses and uncapped commissions, offering strong first-year earning potential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with small commercial products (BOP, GL, property, commercial auto, WC, cyber, umbrella, surety/bonds).
• Experience prospecting for new business and driving leads from multiple sources.
• Experience using agency management systems and comparative raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Licenses: Property & Casualty license (or progress toward them). You will be required to obtain relevant licenses upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) through prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel and advise prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage needs.
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals by obtaining quotes from multiple carriers.
• Meet goals for volume of new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring agents to generate COI/lead streams.
• Provide service for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison.
