Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency in the Northeast region seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to prospect and manage a book of small commercial accounts. You’ll consult with clients, quote through multiple carriers, and place and renew policies to deliver coverage and service.

Responsibilities include developing new business, cross-selling opportunities, and building relationships with agents and clients while staying current on product trends and underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with small commercial products (BOP, GL, property, commercial auto, W/C, cyber, umbrella, bonds).
• Experience networking and generating leads for new business.
• Experience using agency management systems and rate/quoting tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Property & Casualty license (or progress toward them).

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) via prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage needs.
• Prepare and present quotes by obtaining quotes from multiple carriers.
• Meet goals for volume of new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver a top-tier customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring agents to create COI/lead streams.
• Provide endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison as needed.
• Stay current on carrier appetite and underwriting guidelines.
