Comparion Insurance Agency in the Northeast region seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to prospect, quote, and manage a book of small commercial business. You will consult with clients, tailor coverage, and coordinate with multiple carriers to place policies and renewals.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with agents and clients, data-driven risk assessment, and delivering top-notch service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with small commercial products: BOP, GL, property, commercial auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella and surety/bonds.
• Experience networking and driving top-of-funnel leads from various sources.
• Experience using agency management systems and comparative raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Property & Casualty license (or progress toward them).

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) through prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage needs, recommending appropriate insurance solutions.
• Prepare and present quotes by obtaining quotes from multiple carriers using agency systems and rating platforms.
• Meet goals for volume of quality new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
• Build relationships with referral agents to create COI/lead streams.
• Provide timely service for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison.
• Stay current on carrier appetite and industry trends.
