Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to prospect, quote and place small commercial accounts with multiple carriers. You’ll develop relationships with clients and referral partners, assess exposures, and tailor coverage using a consultative sales approach in a fast-paced role.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service, manage renewals, and grow a book of business in a Northeast market.

Qualifications

• Familiar with small commercial products: BOP, GL, property, auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella, surety/bonds.
• Experience generating top-of-funnel leads from multiple sources.
• Experience using agency management systems and raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• License in Property & Casualty or progress toward licensing is required or expected.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues typically under $10M).
• Counsel prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage needs.
• Prepare and present quotes from multiple carriers.
• Meet goals for new business volume and cross-sell opportunities.
• Support endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison as needed.
• Build relationships with referring agents to generate COI/lead streams.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
