Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency in the Northeast seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to prospect, quote, and place small commercial accounts with multiple carriers. You’ll develop new business, counsel clients on coverage needs, and coordinate renewals while building strong agent relationships.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with common small commercial products: BOP, GL, property, C-auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella, surety/bonds.
• Experience with networking, prospecting for new business and driving top-of-funnel leads from various sources.
• Experience using agency management systems and comparative raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Property & Casualty license (or progress toward them; you will be required to obtain relevant licenses upon being hired).

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) through prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel and advise prospects and existing policyholders on protection and coverage needs.
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals by obtaining/comparing quotes from multiple carriers.
• Meet goals for volume of quality new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and agency partners to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring agents to generate COI/lead streams.
• Provide timely service for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, new products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
