Job summary

The Speech Therapist at Lionstone Therapy within Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, OH provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders in healthcare, long-term care, or rehab settings. You will work with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans that improve communication and swallowing safety.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and an active SLP license with CCC-SLP.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active SLP license and CCC-SLP certification required.
Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or rehabilitation is preferred; new grads welcome.
Strong diagnostic and assessment skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency with EHR systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Develop diagnostic reports and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.
Design personalized treatment plans addressing aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia.
Provide therapy using evidence-based exercises and strategies.
Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing.
Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EHR.
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians for holistic care.
