Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to lead evaluation and treatment for individuals with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disabilities.

The role includes developing plans of care, directing patient participation, discharge planning, and educating patients and families; requires Master's in SLP and Ohio license, CCC, and BLS.

Experience preferred; adheres to PHI protections and department policies.

Qualifications

• Must have professional initiative, objectivity, good time management and interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically and cognitively able to provide patient assessment and treatment.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts the Speech-Language Pathology plan of care to rehabilitate speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disorders.
• Directs patient participation in activities to establish, enhance, and restore communication and swallowing abilities.
• Performs evaluations and develops treatment plans within the care continuum.
• Educates patient, family, and caregiver on health information and prevention.
• Performs documentation, billing, and supports department operations.
• Participates in discharge planning and care transitions.
