Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to oversee and conduct speech and language therapies in our facility in Ohio. You will assess residents, develop goals, implement plans, supervise staff, and coordinate devices and training to support communication and swallowing rehabilitation.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure eligibility, and ASHA CCC eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s Level Speech Language curriculum certified by the ASHA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals and methods, and implements the speech therapy plan with documentation.
• Coordinates adaptive communication devices and instructs residents in use.
• Selects activities aligned with resident capacity and interests.
• Consults with rehab team to determine best therapeutic regimen.
• Instructs residents in skills for participation and evaluates progress.
• Adapts program to individual needs.
• Attends and contributes to care and related meetings.
• Leads training for staff in speech therapy techniques.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Maintains and reports equipment needs.
• Ensures high-quality, compassionate service for residents and families.
