Job summary

Westerville is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy aimed at improving communication and swallowing functions. The role includes supervising CFY speech fellows and students, educating families, and coordinating with physicians and nursing staff.

Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred. A state license is required and ongoing education is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required; graduate study (Master/PhD) preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Ability to supervise CFY and students per state rules.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise and safety strategies.
• Supervise CFY Speech-Language Pathology Fellows and students.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and cross-disciplinary teams.
