Job summary

You will participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and program development, with duties extending to interdepartmental collaboration and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; maintain license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families; participate in care conferences.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain infection control and safe treatment environment; educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
