Job summary

Beachwood Post Acute seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents for speech therapy needs and to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving swallowing, communication, and cognition. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and families to ensure progress and discharge planning.

The role includes supervising CFY–Speech Clinical Fellows and students, providing in-services, and maintaining compliant documentation in medical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state; continuing education per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognition, and communication.
• Supervise CFY–Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families; participate in care conferences.
