Job summary

Paramount Care Centers in Columbus, OH seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to organize and conduct speech and swallowing rehabilitation programs. You will assess residents, set goals, implement therapy plans, and document progress while promoting communication and safe swallowing in a compassionate setting.

You will collaborate with the rehab team, adapt activities to individual needs, supervise support staff, instruct families, and ensure compliance with ASHA standards and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s Level Speech Language curriculum certified by ASHA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Eligible for a CCC from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops treatment goals; implements therapy plans and documents results.
• Coordinates acquisition of adaptive communication devices and trains residents in use.
• Selects appropriate activities based on resident capacity and interests.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to select optimal therapy regimens.
• Instructs residents in skills for participation and evaluates progress.
• Adapts programs to meet individual needs.
• Attends care and related meetings and contributes accordingly.
• Conducts training for staff in speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Supervises supportive personnel.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and needs for repair.
• Ensures high-quality service in a compassionate environment.
