Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to lead speech/language rehabilitation programs in our Wayne, NJ facility. The role focuses on restoring communication and swallowing functions, guiding residents through targeted activities, and collaborating with the rehab team to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include a Master’s level SLP degree, state licensure or eligibility, and ASHA CCC eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s Level Speech Language curriculum certified by ASHA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state.
• Eligible for a CCC from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals and implements therapy plans; documents progress.
• Coordinates acquisition and use of adaptive communication devices.
• Selects activities matched to residents’ abilities and interests.
• Consults with rehab team to tailor regimens to individual needs.
• Instructs residents in skills for participation and evaluates progress.
• Adapts programs to meet individual resident needs.
• Attends and contributes to resident care and related meetings.
• Leads training for staff in speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Supervises supportive personnel per state and professional standards.
• Maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Ensures high-quality, compassionate service respecting residents’ rights.
