Job summary

Red Bank Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents with swallowing or communication impairments. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to document care, participate in policy development, and contribute to discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification or equivalent path to certification.
• Evidence of education/work experience necessary for certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ functional communication or swallowing needs.
• Follow physician orders and facility policies to evaluate and treat residents.
• Assist in development of communication or swallowing decline prevention policies.
• Participate in discharge planning when appropriate.
• Perform diagnostic tests and document evaluations.
• Provide treatment to maximize communication and/or swallowing function.
• Recommend preventive measures and assistive devices.
• Educate residents or caregivers to maintain communication/swallowing function.
• Maintain timely resident reports per regulatory requirements.
• Perform duties efficiently and professionally.
