Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver comprehensive speech and swallowing therapy. The role involves evaluating residents, developing goals, and implementing treatment plans to improve communication and feeding abilities.

The SLP will coordinate device acquisition, adapt programs to individual needs, and collaborate with the rehabilitation team while maintaining documentation and resident progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s level speech-language pathology degree from ASHA‑accredited program.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Eligible for ASHA CCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents, set goals, implement speech therapy plan and document progress.
• Coordinate acquisition and instruction of adaptive communication devices.
• Select activities aligned with resident abilities and interests.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to optimize therapy regimen.
• Instruct residents in skills and techniques to aid participation and outcome.
• Adapt therapy program to individual needs and progress.
• Attend care and staff meetings and contribute to planning.
• Lead training for staff in speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Supervise supportive personnel per state and professional standards.
• Maintain and report on equipment, ensuring safe operation.
• Deliver compassionate care to residents and families.
