Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to lead speech therapy services within a facility. The role includes evaluating residents, setting goals, and implementing treatment to improve communication and swallowing.

The clinician will guide residents in therapeutic activities and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize outcomes. The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure or eligibility, and ASHA CCC eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Master’s Level Speech Language curriculum certified by ASHA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Eligible for ASHA CCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops goals and treats per plan; documentations completed.
• Coordinate acquisition of adaptive communication devices; instruct use.
• Select activities matched to resident capacity and interest.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to choose therapy regimen.
• Instruct skills required for participation and evaluate progress.
• Adapt program to resident’s needs.
• Attend and contribute to care and related meetings.
• Conduct training programs for staff in speech therapy techniques.
• Supervise supportive personnel per standards.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Ensure residents and families receive high quality service.
