Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Washington state seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN therapy services to residents needing speech rehabilitation. You will assess, plan, and implement therapy with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, adhering to ASHA guidelines (CCC or CFY eligibility), maintaining licensure, and delivering compassionate care to diverse post-acute patients. CPR is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (MS/MA).
• ASHA CCCs OR eligible for CFY to earn CCCs.
• Currently licensed in the applicable State and maintain licensure.
• CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of post-acute care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including patient rights and safety/sanitation.
